Dr. Dan Gerrity

Dan Gerrity earned his B.S.E., M.S.E., and Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering at Arizona State University. He was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), a Senior Engineer for Trussell Technologies in California, and an Assistant and Associate Professor in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Construction at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). Now as the Principal Research Microbiologist at SNWA, his team is applying principles of wastewater-based epidemiology to better understand the link between community health conditions and wastewater occurrence of trace organic compounds and pathogens, specifically in the context of potable reuse.
