Ricardo Borunda
My name is Ricardo Borunda and I'm currently attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with an emphasis in construction. I ended up in Civil Engineering because I was a part of the Southern Nevada ACE Mentor Program during my senior year in high school. There, I was able to find my passion in Civil Engineering and Construction through the wonderful mentors that would come and teach us about Architecture, Construction and Engineering related careers. After graduating high school, I became a mentor to give back to the students and help them find their passion. Now, I am an assistant program director and help lead the program with other industry leaders. I also currently work at the PENTA Building Group as a Project Engineer Intern where I first started as a high school intern due to the ACE Mentor Program. I am a first generation college student and I am of hispanic descent. I also love to snowboard and enjoy reading.
