The NSPE Southern Nevada Chapter would like to recognize and congratulate two recipients of the Fall 2024 Charlie Vaughn Scholarship! Jahir Hrenandez and Dominic Toth both were exemplary through the interview process and both students selected by the scholarship committee members for fall awards!
Jahir Hernandez
Jahir Hernandez is a 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Jahir, a first-generation college student, is engaged in a variety of activities on campus, including undergraduate research, the student chapter of AIAA, and the NV Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi. In the future, Jahir plans to continue his education by pursuing a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Nuclear Engineering.
Dominik Toth
Dominik Toth is a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Passionate about the automotive and aerospace industries, he actively participates in on-campus organizations such as SEDS and BAJA SAE. Dominik strives to tackle real-world engineering challenges in these industries. He is committed to contributing innovative solutions that will shape the future of these dynamic fields.
